The International Travel Association is a union of private travel agencies from all parts of the world. It was established in 1986, in response and demand by Independent Travel Agents and tour operators for the implementation and development of networking within international partners and associates.

ITA presently has active members in 20 countries spread over 5 continents.

Members meet twice a year to interact, exchange their discounted tariffs, to discuss about their successful changes, to co-operate and offer competitive fares and tariffs in the current competitive Travel scenario. They also discuss regional co-operate and find solutions to evolve new ideas and techniques on how their products could be supported with new technologies.
